Help Sam and Charlie

It's not every day you get the chance to make a big difference to someone's life. Even better, today you can make a real, practical difference to THREE people's lives.

Sam has just turned three, and his little brother, Charlie, is seven months old. Dean Litis is their dad.

Sam and Charlie's mum, Louise, died in December 2007. Lou was a beautiful, loving person and fabulous mother who suffered terribly with post-natal depression. She made sure she had a huge support network to help her but tragically, it wasn't enough.

Charlie, Dean and SamOf course it will be impossible to replace the love and care of their mother, but in her absence, Dean's top priority is to ensure that his boys receive the best care possible. Unfortunately, the costs of caring for kids quickly adds up.

It's awful at a time like this that Dean should have financial worries on top of everything else that he's going through. Dean and Lou's families are able to assist to some degree, but there's still a big shortfall.

Dean's friends would like to help him meet these extraordinary costs brought about by Lou's unexpected death. If possible, we would like him to be able to take time out to grieve and perhaps head back to work part-time as well as spend time with Sam and Charlie.

Our goal is to raise some cash for Dean to put towards ongoing costs for the children... with your help.

Can you help Dean take care of his boys?

Can you organise a fundraiser through your work, kids' school, church, sports club, organisation, to help Dean? We can send you stuff about how to do this: Email enquiries at HelpSamAndCharlie dot com

Can you donate? Even a little bit helps.
Do you have any questions, or can you offer some other kind of help? Email enquiries at HelpSamAndCharlie dot com

Thank you for any help you can offer Dean, Sam and Charlie. Please forward this web address to your friends, to anyone who knew Lou, who knows Dean and his boys, who knows how hard it is to raise kids as a single parent, who has been affected by depression, or who just wants to make a difference.

We'll update this website when we can to let you know how the boys are getting on, and how the fundraising is going.
